Popular Ski Resorts in U.S.

It has recently been decided that as long as there is snow, there will be skiing. When the winter comes, the skiers of the U.S., and internationally as well, get ready to hit the slopes. There are many popular ski resorts in the U.S., most with very high ratings and a plethora of attractions outside of the slopes.

By far, ski resorts such as the Jackson Hole, WY, Vail Mountain, CO, Breckenridge, CO, and Alta, UT, are all high-end ski resorts with great snowfall and fantastic terrain. With large, nearby towns that offer nightclubs, a multitude of restaurants, stores for all types of shopping, and large hotels, these resorts tend to satisfy all who come to enjoy them. However, if you are interested in spending a little less money, a little less time waiting on lifts, and having a little bit more room to ski down some fantastic slopes, you may want to consider a few resorts that don't always make it to the top of the lists.

Grand Targhee, WY is an award winning ski resort that is somewhat smaller but it is said to have the "Best Snow Conditions in the World." Loveland, CO is located on the top of the Continental Divide and like Grand Targhee, is also somewhat smaller than other famous resorts. Loveland offers less glitz and glam, more space for skiing, and cheaper prices. With its location at the top of the Divide, it also offers a view that you will remember for a lifetime, and a longer ski season. In conclusion, if you are ready to hit the slopes, no matter what your preference, there is an enjoyable ski resort experience waiting for you in the many ski resorts of the U.S.
